Oke-Odan killings: Ogun customs controller summoned by lawmakers

Following a report of killings by customs agents at Oke-Odan on Sunday, the Ogun State House of Assembly had summoned The Area Controller of Customs, Ogun State Area Command, Multafu Jilantikiri, to appear before it.

Six innocent persons were reportedly killed by customs officers on Sunday when they were shooting sporadically at some suspected rice smugglers.

The assembly urged the customs to be more professional in the discharge of their duties.

While speaking, the Speaker, Suraj Adekunbi, charged customs officers along Sango-Idiroko road
and other areas in Ogun state, to be careful while handling guns, telling them that 'our people are not animals.'
