A middle aged man was reported to made efforts to kill his pregnant wife over a minor domestic issue.
A Facebook user, Ibe Collins, reported that the man had picked up a cutlass with which he had butchered the heavily pregnant woman.
It was learnt that the prompt intervention of neighbours who waded into the matter had prevented the man from killing his wife.
It was not clear whether or not the husband has been arrested by the police.
The woman is currently undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
Facebook users reacted to the incident, describing it as callousness and wickedness.
Ibe didn't give further details on the ugly incident.
