I'll give 30% appointments to youths in their 30s, Triple A vows

Adekunle Akinlade

The lawmaker representing Yewa South and Ipokia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. AbdulKabir Adekunle Akinlade, has assured youths of greatest participation in his government if he becomes the governor of Ogun State come 2019.

This was revealed by the lawmaker during a visit to the Ogun Central chapter of the All Progressives Congress at the party Secretariat in Abiola Way Abeokuta on Thursday.

Akinlade, in his drive to carry youths along in the decision-making process, and his supports for the 'Not too young to rule' bill, had initiated a programme tagged: #3030.

While speaking on the vision behind #3030, the lawmaker said he had plans to allocate 30% of his political appointments to youths within the age of 30 years, hence #3030 if he attains the coveted post in the next general election.

Triple A, as he is fondly called in the political circle, also assured that women would be given prominence in his government, even above the globally approved 35% affirmative action; saying "everybody would be carried along".

He also informed all Ogun indigenes of the need to volunteer themselves for the love of Ogun with a programmed he tagged: 'I volunteer for the love of Ogun State'.

He urges all interested volunteers too register through logging on to WWW.TRIPLEA2019.COM, adding much benefits await those who do so.

In a meeting with leaders of the party in Ogun Central, Akinlade promised that he would not abandon any zone in Ogun State under the guise of 'Yewa lokan', adding that he would step into Gov Ibikunle Amosun's shoes to continue the mission to rebuild the entire Ogun State.
