Ijete compound was one of the settlements recognised by Ipokia tradition.
It is a ruling house of Odoforo- chieftaincy title. Similarly, it relates to Iwaye AROWO-OGUN, a branch of Dapale ruling house, where chieftaincy title of Odoforo is also in place.
Odudua Abeta shrines were planted in both compounds.
There is also Ijete village at IBATEFIN where Odudua Abesan was planted. This is an indication that both Ijete compound in IPOKIA town and Ijete village at Ibatefin relate to Odofin FAGBOLA, the first Odofin of IPOKIA Kingdom.
Odoforo means Odofin-Oro, and it has affiliations to OJU ISENA-ORO at Igboro IPOKIA (OJU ABETA).
