A call has gone to the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remove a former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni as a member of the caretaker committee representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.
The concerned youths in Abeokuta South, who pleaded anonymity said this in a release made available to our correspondent on Thursday.
They accused Oseni of various antiparty activities as well as lack of respect to party leaders; adding that failure to remove her might cause crisis in the party in Abeokuta South constituency.
The statement reads in full:
PETITION AGAINST RT.HON TITI OSENI DUE TO HER ANTI-PARTY ACTIVITIES AND DISRESPECTFUL ATTITUDE TOWARDS PARTY LEADERS IN ABEOKUTA SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY.
Many party faithfuls and loyalists in Abeokuta South Federal constituency were against the selection of Rt. Hon Titi Oseni as a caretaker committee member to oversee the activities of the federal constituency at the state chapter. We are all aware of her anti-party during the turbulent period of the party, she was no where to be found when the dark forces in the party initiated a prolonged court case against the national leadership of our dear party. We all knew her stand, position and how she made her foot soldiers to cross carpet to Accord Party, presently, the chairman of Accord Party in Abeokuta South is a die hard loyalist of Oseni. But due to the magnanimous minds of party faithfuls in the federal constituency, her imposition by the power that be against the wish of the party faithfuls in the constituency was accepted in good faith in order to allow peace to reign.
Furthermore, her diversionary cum divisionary tactics and her undiplomatic stand and approach to issues affecting the party in the Local Government cannot be tolerated again in order to save the party from total collapse in the constituency. Her total disregard and disrespect to party leaders in the federal constituency cannot be allowed, and also her plan to single-handedly choose the party executives in the local government will also be resisted. We all knew these are done for her own selfish interests and not for the peace, tranquility and progress of the party at the federal constituency.
Our case against her are simple and concise :
a) Her total disregard and disrespect to the party leaders in the federal constituency.
b) Her diversionary, divisionary tactics and undiplomatic stands on issues affecting the party in the federal constituency.
c) Her undemocratic positions and unprincipled decisions which are against the well-stated responsibilities given to her. We cannot allow a person who got there through platter of gold destroy and hijack the party from army of party faithfuls who have dedicated their time, energy and resources to build and make the party stronger in the constituency.
In lieu of these, we hereby call for the removal of Rt Hon. Titi Oseni as one of the Representative representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency at the State Caretaker Committee as failure to do the needful could cause crisis in the party at the federal constituency.
