Osun indigenes could not believe the state is totally bankrupt not until when the federal government released the amount it shared to each state of the federation with Osun receiving a paltry sum of N6.23m.

Nigerians are wondering why Osun could be in such a condition as many opined that the governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, had borrowed beyond the financial strength of the state.

People now know why the state cannot pay workers' salaries for months despite bailout funds from the federal government.

In the February allocation, no state received less than N1m, except Osun with an unbelievable sum of N6.23m.
