The National Board of Technical Education (NBTE), will visit Ipokia next week to determine the fate of the newly established Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia.
Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, told newsmen after the meeting of the state Executive council meeting, at the Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, that officials of the examination body will visit the site of the polytechnic still under construction.
Adeoluwa explained that, Governor Ibikunle Amosun will receive the team on Monday next week, in Abeokuta, before leading them to the site of the polytechnic at Ipokia.
The state government, according to him, hopes the examination board will approve licence for the take off of the institution.
Speaking on the project, Managing Director of Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation(OPIC), Jide Odusolu, assured that the necessary infrastructure for the polytechnic will be ready, ahead of the visit.
