The death has been announced of His Royal Majesty, the Onipokia of Ipokia land, Oba Raufu Adeole, Onigbale (III).
It was learnt that the Onipokia died in a Lagos hospital on November 13, after a brief illness.
A statement signed by the Chairman, Ipokia Elders Forum, Alhaji Waliu Ajikobi, said "every necessary burial rites have been performed" as the late Oba had been laid to rest.
Born on September 25, 1953, Oba Adeole was installed as the Onipokia on March 2, 1986; reigning for a period of 30 years and eight months.
The Oba was survived by wives, children and grandchildren.
