Owode-Ilaro road users cry out, seek urgent govt attention

The Owode-Ilaro is almost the major road linking various towns in Ogun West together.

But lack of government attention has put the road in total mess, making it almost unusable to motorists.

The people of Ogun West have on various occasions cried out to government, alleging that they had been marginalized in the scheme of things.

Recall that the lawmaker representing Yewa South and Ipokia Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, had made case for the dualisation of the road in the floor of the national assembly.

It was reported that the road had been captured in the 2016 budget, giving people the hope that work would soon commence on the Owode-Ilaro road and some others.

Meanwhile, residents of the area have been appealing to government to find a solution to the bad conditions of the road, saying they could no longer use the road.
